Defrosted Food

What do you do when the refrigerator goes out and the food defrosts? Thankfully, there was no meat (we could have had a barbeque). Well, since I had bought a canner the day before, I canned the defrosted bag of green beans (5 pints) made strawberry freezer jam (1 1/2 quarts) from the defrosted, mushy strawberries and canned 14 quarts of peaches that we had planned to eat for the next couple of weeks (love a peach a day)since there is no room in my kitchen refrigerator for anything extra. This is probably a blessing in disguise as we can't store extra frozen goodies or fast foods now.We can look forward to eating peaches for more than a couple of weeks.

Enchanted Garden

Enchanting little Elsa in my enchanted garden.
Fresh new herb garden with a year old basil plant that survived the hot summer and revived after it dwindled to a little twig.
